June 2024 Colour Palette Inspiration

I honestly cannot believe the first week of June is already over! This year is truly flying by.

One thing I have been looking forward to starting on the blog is sharing some colour palettes. One of my favorite things to pull together when starting a creative endeavour is the colour palette. Whether monochromatic, neutral, or off the walls bright, the options are truly endless.

For a lot of clients I talk to, choosing colours and getting started with a palette is overwhelming and confusing. Picking the primary colours and moving to the complimentary colours and accent colours, it can be hard to narrow in on what you want.

My goal with these palettes is to inspire and get everyone’s creative wheels spinning! Whether for an interior scheme, an invitation, an event, an outfit, or an artwork, these schemes can hopefully help to jump start you! Most of these palettes are inspired from things that have recently inspired me (spoiler alert, nature has the most well-designed colour palettes out there and a lot of my inspiration comes from time spent outside).

While we are at it, an Emma fun-fact is that for many years throughout high school and college, I worked at a wool store (avid knitter over here). While I loved talking to customers and helping them choose colours for their projects, one thing I really enjoyed was stocking the store. Surprise, surprise, I liked colour coordinating everything, styling the shelves, and organizing (I should have known then I would end up using my type A decorating skills one day). But one thing that always made me laugh when I would try to stock the wool was the colour names. You would have a bright yellow ball of yarn and it would be called “orange”. Someone was having fun or something was getting lost in translation, so I got lots of steps back and forth to the computer checking supplier websites. My running joke was my dream job would be coming up with the colour names for wool. While I haven’t quite landed that job yet, consider this my portfolio and application for whoever gets to make that hiring decision.

Please enjoy below the June 2024 colour palettes! If you use any of these as inspiration, please send me a picture of whatever you create! I would love to see it!
